Granada Hills, CA April 11, 2004โ"-Representatives from Granada Hills Youth Recreation Center (GHYRC) met today with Los Angeles City Councilman Greig Smith, who communicated that a tentative agreement had been reached with the Metropolitan Water District to extend the lease at the Joseph Jensen Filtration Plant until the end of 2005, and a probable extension through 2006 is in the works.
pleased that our local representatives, the MWD and City agencies were able to work together to find a short-term solution to this problemโ, said Gary Holmen, spokesperson for GHYRC. We look forward to working with them to find a permanent solution for the thousands of families that utilize these soccer and baseball facilities.
